CAD/RENDERINGS

3D MODELING WITH RHINO

  • Rhino is my favorite 3D modeling program.

  • Each project explores a variety of modeling techniques.

  • All renderings are raytraced directly from Rhino 6.

TRAVIS SCOTT SICKO MODE

EARPHONES

Sicko Mode is one of my favorite songs of 2018. The design takes inspiration from the vomiting emoji, which was repeatedly used in Travis Scott's and Drake's social media campaign to promote the song. The underlying speaker grill is a direct reference to Travis Scott himself, who often wear grills.

PORUS SHAPE

With Grasshopper, I was able to play with different nodes.

I created this Porus shape and gave it exotic colors.

PAPER CLIP TABLE LAMP

As the paper clip makes its way into the high fashion world,

I decided to design a table lamp that reflects this trend.

POOL SLIDE

I modeled the ripples of water by using Sweep and manipulating surface control points.

WATCHES

I wanted to design a simple dress watch and took inspirations from the humble design of Patek Phillipe's Golden Ellipse watch.

EAMES CHAIR

3D modeling the Eames Molded Plywood Lounge Chair is perhaps the most basic CAD assignment. However, for this model, I unwrapped the texture map to edit the wood grain direction to make it as accurate as possible.

LE CREUSET

For this rectangular dish, I used sub-object modeling techniques to create smooth, continuous surfaces. The lasagne is modeled using an image with bitmap textures.
